La Vía Street in Denia is one of the most central streets of the town, with a length of 515 metres, where at one end we have a semi-pedestrian area, where the Fruit and Vegetable Market is held every Friday, and at the other end we go directly to the old bus stop of Dénia, that is, the Square Archduque Carlos de Dénia.

La Vía Street in Denia is a cobbled street lined with buildings, shops and small restaurants and tapas bars offering traditional Spanish cuisine, with local specialities such as tapas but you can also find international cuisine such as Mexican and Italian. 

In fact, the street is lively all year round, for example, it is the focal point for the Moors and Christians parades.

La Via street is a stone’s throw away from the castle of Denia, which offers a panoramic view of the city and the Mediterranean Sea. La Vía street is also close to the port of Dénia, one of the main departure points to the Balearic Islands.

For some years now, La Vía street in Denia has been a pedestrian street, which allows you to take a quiet walk with your friends or family, especially if you have small children, or to enjoy a moment on a terrace without being disturbed by the noise and smell of cars or other motor vehicles.

Every Friday of the year, La Vía street hosts the fruit and vegetable market, where you can stroll in the open air and buy fresh local produce.

This street is separated by two points, an urban area in which vehicles are constantly passing through and the other part is semi-pedestrianised, in which the passage of vehicles is almost non-existent.

Apart from the Fruit and Vegetable Market, there is also an endless number of peculiar bars and restaurants, where you can enjoy your favourite drink any day of the week, while the sun shines on it.

As many people think, the street la Vía, really arrives until the crossing of the street Carlos Sentí, that is to say, all that follows until arriving to the Theatre Auditorium Social Centre, is NOT the street la Vía, but it is taken as if it was.

Calle la Vía is the street parallel to Street Marqués de Campos, making it two of the most important streets in the whole town.
