I/ Overview
Composed mainly of vegetation, the park of Les Bassetes in Denia will allow you beautiful walks on its many sunny paths. Even better, a large paved square in the middle of the park can allow you to play sports in the sun. It is a perfect place to take your children with its many activities specially designed for them (slide, playground, etc …). A little further into the park, there is a small skate park for beginners in rollerblading or skateboarding.
This beautiful place provides picnic tables for a small meal in the open air. In addition, the shade provided by the many trees allows you to spend the day or afternoon in the park without having any gene related to the sun. Finally, in terms of accessibility, many car parks are available and coming by bike from the center of Denia is totally feasible (about 10min by bike).
II/ Localization
The Park of Les Bassetes is a park located in the continuity of the 20 kilometers of beaches of Dénia, in the “carrer de les Marines”. It is a public park open 24/24h of 26,000 m2. Just 2.1 km from the port of Denia, this outlying park saves you the problems of well-known parking spaces in the city center.
III/ Activities around the park
Within the park of Les Bassetes there is a tapas bar “SES Bassetes”. Right in the middle of the park, this bar promises calm, relaxation and good food all this for quite tight prices after a good walk.
If it’s too hot, no problem! The beach of “the marines” of Dénia is 6 minutes walk from the park of “the Bassetes” and offers a very wide and extensive sandy beach, with clear and turquoise water.
At kilometer 1.5 or so we find one of the best parks in Dénia.
Of great extension, it has very well maintained gardens, playground and a paved area where we usually see skaters enjoying the good weather.
Being very spacious, you can walk and sit and rest or have a drink in one of its picnic areas.
The best of all? It has a beach bar in the center with a large terrace and with fairly tight prices.
