Joan Fuster Avenue in Denia

Avenida Juan Fuster

Joan Fuster avenue is an avenue that is part of the municipality of Denia located in the province of Alicante.

It is one of the main avenues of Denia, especially known for its length. Indeed, it crosses a large part of the city from the port to the mountain.

How is the traffic?

Located in one of the best areas of Denia, the avenue is very busy during the summer months.

However, the movement of vehicles does not usually pose any problems, as the street has good signage with numerous traffic lights and roundabouts to ensure that traffic is distributed evenly.

In addition, in 2022, the council undertook road safety and pavement condition improvement works on Joan Fuster avenue Denia. Indeed, we have seen the construction of speed bumps, allowing better road safety but also pedestrian safety with regard to the speed of different vehicles.

Is the Joan Fuster avenue dangerous for pedestrians or cyclists?

For pedestrians, it is possible to use the train because there is a lane reserved for the train between the two traffic lanes. This makes it possible for pedestrians to get from one end of the avenue to the other more quickly and safely.

In addition, the avenue is lined with pavements, allowing pedestrians to move around peacefully and enjoy the Mediterranean air of the city.

The train may be replaced by a tramway, although this is not yet certain, but it will not affect the smooth flow of traffic and pedestrians.

For the sportier among you, there are cycle paths on both sides of the road, allowing cyclists to travel safely.

What can be found around Joan Fuster avenue?

Near the avenue, there are mainly residential buildings. However, there are also a number of shops, such as a supermarket, a nutrition centre, a pharmacy, bars and a children’s park opposite the Denia health centre, which has a 24/7 emergency service as well as all the “classic” medical services.

Denia is a city committed to ecology. In fact, all along Joan Fuster avenue, there are bins where we can sort our waste.

In addition, from Juan Foster avenue, tourists or Dianenses can easily get to Jaume I square, usually via Juan Chabas avenue or Marquesat avenue.
